MIDLAND, Mich. (December 2, 2020) – Tournament officials announced today that Wendy Traschen has been appointed as Tournament Director of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. In this role, Traschen will join Eiger Marketing Group and oversee all tournament operations and sales of the event, which was awarded the LPGA Tournament of the Year in 2019.
“The Great Lakes Bay Region knows Wendy Traschen as a highly respected business executive and advocate of our community,” Dow GLBI executive director Chris Chandler said. “Wendy’s vast experience, collaborative leadership style and extensive business-to-business connections makes her a great fit for this role.”

She opened Whine nearly 10 years ago to give the local community and visitors a chance to taste a wide array of wine and unique small plates.
“I could not be more thrilled to join such a unique LPGA event in my hometown of Midland,” Traschen said. “It was so exciting to be part of the tournament’s extraordinary inaugural year. I look forward to collaborating with Dow and other community partners to build on its success. This event has so much to offer to people of all ages in the Great Lakes Bay Region. It’s truly an honor to be appointed to this role and I can’t wait to bring this event to the community year after year and help make our region a destination for golf fans throughout the Midwest.”
